The Bike to Work Challenge was held during May, and we in the Sustainable Development team are extremely proud of everyone who did not shy away from it and contributed to the celebration of sport and low-emission transport. The theme of this year's challenge was The Journey to Balance. We firmly hope that this goal was at least partially achieved and supplied our colleagues with a lot of positive energy.
This year, 82 participants from 13 faculties and other units of CU (FSV, FHS, FF, PF, MFF, PřF, 2nd LF, 3rd LF, LFP, RUK, COŽP, Central Library and Karolinum Publishing House) took part in the May challenge. Altogether, 23 teams were established and covered together over 13,000 kilometers!
Teams in the first places were:
1. place: 3LF UK from 3. LF (1597.27 km)
2. place: SPLAŠENÍ KONĚ a KOBYLY from Ústřední knihovna (1286.99 km)
3. place: EPItým from 2. LF (1066.18 km)
Honorable mention: Fotochemie from PřF (842.29 km), Vycuk from COŽP (840.39 km), Úplný lamy from FF (744.68 km)
The Sustainable Development team congratulates the most active participants on the top spots and all those who overcame themselves and dedicated their May to sport and greener transport.
We thank everyone who participated, and we hope that there will be even more of us at the next Bike to Work Challenge!
